A LITTLE ABOUT MYSELF

I’m Holly Katz, and I appreciate your interest. I’m dedicated to helping you understand the psychological barriers you encounter. We’ll work together to help you overcome those barriers to fulfill your true potential. I’ve helped hundreds of clients move with ease through significant performance, business, and academic pressure.

Credentials

My educational background includes an MBA from Northwestern University, a Masters in Counseling from National Louis University, and a BA from the University of Wisconsin where I was captain of the tennis team.

In addition, I am a Licensed HeartMath coach. (HeartMath is a biofeedback tool used by the PGA, Olympic Athletes, and corporations across America to help individuals control the physiological response to stress, experience calm, and perform “in the zone.”)

On the corporate side, I served as Vice President of Human Resources at a division of Monster.com and a “go-to” coaching partner at JP Morgan Chase. In each of these roles, I coached executives and professionals to maintain poise, calm, and confidence as they moved through stressful situations, including performance pressure (i.e. public speaking, interview stress, dealing with intimidating people).

My counseling background includes helping Northwestern University students to overcome anxiety and day-to day-life challenges. I also help teens and young adults dealing with stressful personal health/sexuality issues as a volunteer at Angles.org.

Prior to moving into the corporate world, I was a tennis professional at Midtown Athletic Club coaching adults and juniors to improve their game and mentally prepare for tournaments.

Philosophy and Approach

During our individualized sessions, we will work together in a supportive environment using a focused and practical approach. You will receive personalized coaching along with a detailed practice plan to help you meet your objectives. I see clients individually and also present workshops on improving mental toughness and emotional well-being in stressful situations.

I place a high priority on forming a meaningful connection with clients. I’ll spend the time to get to know you: your background, history, strengths, struggles, goals, and dreams. From there, we’ll develop a plan and begin addressing the most pressing issues first within a supportive environment.

As part of our work, you’ll be introduced to the most advanced, scientifically proven tools ranging from Mental Skills Training to HeartMath to cutting edge mind-body techniques. You will learn to:
